Does the following in red mean "the stronger pleasure"?

Pleasure: This type of happiness is about always chasing the next high. It is the rock-star type of happiness because it is very hard to maintain unless you are living the lifestyle of a rock star.

Thank you.

(1) I believe that you are 100% correct: an even stronger high/sensation.

(2) Here is an example from something currently happening in the United States:

(a) Some people drink coffee because caffeine gives them a mild high.

(That's what I have heard; I do not drink coffee.)

(b) Well, someone has come up with a new product. It looks like a lipstick.

You smell the caffeine.

(i) The health experts say that if you do it once a day, it will have no more effect

than a cup of coffee.

(ii) But young people -- they say -- are looking for the next high. So they may

use 5, 6, 7 ... of these little "lipsticks." So the government is investigating.

(3) Oh, is that why some people drink many bottles of soda pop every day?

Because of the high that they get from the caffeine? And the sugar?
I've always thought of it as looking for the next opportunity to get high, rather than looking for an increased high.

Of course, you are correct. My humble apologies to Unpakwon.

I shall (a) delete my post and (b) refrain from trying to answer any more questions today.

Yes. Although with addictions, the next high usually does need to be stronger.
