When a company dealing in cat food and cat accessories calls itself PURRFECT, is this an example of a pun, a wordplay or something else?

It is a pun, which is one type of wordplay. If you're feline clever, you might try it yourself. Just paws, take a deep breath and go ahead. ;-)

You can try it in a simple sentence. There is no need to worry about a subordinate claws.

You're right. That hurt. It caused me to bang my head against the partition dividing my study from my bedroom, which, in turn, caused me to cry out in pain so loudly that my neighbour asked me to stop my caterwauling. I defy anyone to sink lower than that.

I could possibly sink lower, but only by a whisker.

Bemused or bemewsed a little but also encouraged. Since the deliberate distortion of orthography can paws a real threat of confusion in the learner's area I propose to cat the topic short under this thread and consider a pussibility of catering to it more properly in the fun and games section of this forum (unless this has already been done by someone else).
