    Use of "The"

    Dear teacher,
Which of the two expressions is the best one to use:

    1) Unfortunately, we will not be at Convention this year
    or,
    2) Unfortunately we will not be at the Convention this year

    1) We will attend Conention this year
    or,
    2) we will attend the Convention this year

    Thank you
