Hi, teacher,

I just want to know how should I understand the following expression,
"Price and calculation of proportionate share", whether the "of proportionate share" belongs to calculation or price plus calculation?
Thanks a lot!

I'm sure you'll get tired of reading this, but it's impossible to tell without complete context.

OK, Barb_D, the sentence I give comes from a contract, actually, it is the headline of one appendix of the contract, its name is "Price and Calculation of proportionate share", I just want to know the "of" phrase gives more information to word calculation or it is the complement of the both words preceding it?
Thank you very much.

The answer will be found in the text after the heading, but without that, I would imagine that it refers to both- you need to calculate the proportional share and give it a price.

Here is an example sentence from ASME B31.3 Process piping, "it is the intent of this Code to set forth engineering requirements deemed necessary for safe design and construction of piping installation." So, whether the "of installation" only gives more information to construction or it complements both words safe design and construction?
And another sentence, "This Code is not intended to apply to the operation, examination, inspection, testing, maintenance, or repair of the piping that has been placed in service. Then, how about the "of" phrase in the previous sentence.

Thanks a lot!
