    What is the correct option?

"I'm pleased to inform all of you that we ________ a more spacious cantten before the end of the year," said the school principal, Francis.

    a) will be building
    b) will have built
    c) are building
    d) have been building

The answer given by the teacher is 'are building' (c). However, I feel (b) is corect.

Could somene please let the know what the correct choice is and why? Also, is the sentence natural?

    Thanks.

Re: What is the correct option?

These all make sense to me:

Before the end of the year we will have built . . .

Before the end of the year we will be building . . .

Before the end of the year we are building . . .

    (b) sounds the most natural to me.

Re: What is the correct option?

The only part that doesn't sound natural to me is calling the school principal by his first name!
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
