Hi,

Could you please tell me if the sentences I have written are possible grammatically or not?

-Six years have passed since she has left New York.

-It's a long time since they left New York.

-It's a long time since they have left New York.

-It can be a long time since they left New York.

-It can be a long time since they have left New York.

Thanks...

Hi,

-Six years have passed since she [STRIKE]has[/STRIKE] left New York.

-It's been a long time since they left New York.

-It's been a long time since they [STRIKE]have[/STRIKE] left New York.

-It [STRIKE]can [/STRIKE](it doesn't make sense to me) be a long time since they left New York.

-It [STRIKE]can [/STRIKE](it doesn't make sense to me) be a long time since they [STRIKE]have[/STRIKE] left New York.

Thanks...

I do not understand what you want to say in the last two sentences. What message are you trying to convey?

We’ve been patronising this pub (ever) since we’ve been living in this village.

Henry’s been teetotal since we got married.

It’s only a week since I met him, but we’re very much in love.

They’re a lot happier since they separated.

You’re looking much better since you came out of hospital.

It may be only a week since I met him, but we’re very much in love.

They’ve been happy since they’ve lived here.

I just wanted to ask if they are fine or not.

Yes, those are all fine. The examples in your first post are not.
