    Formal request for delay

    Hi,
I would like to formally inform about a delay in a conversation I scheduled between two people.
    Please advise

    "Dear Jane,
Unfortunately Mr. John had caught the flu during the weekend, and that may cause your conversation to be postponed in a couple of days.

I will contact you whenever he will get better and reschedule your conversation.
Thank you for your patience, and sorry for the trouble,
    Bob"

    Re: Formal request for delay

    Dear Jane,

Unfortunately Mr. John had caught the flu during the weekend, so your conversation will have to be postponed for a few days.

I will contact you when he is well enough to reschedule your conversation.

Thank you for your patience, and sorry for the trouble,

    Bob
