I was taught that the plural of FRUIT is FRUIT (without the s ending). However, I have often met with both as plural: FRUIT and FRUITS?
E.g. Apples and oranges are fruit. (Macmillan dictionary). This dictionary also says that the plural of FRUIT is FRUIT or FRUITS.
I am a little bit puzzled about the usage of these words!
Is there a rule when can we use fruit or fruits?
