Thread: English

I would like to find out in what ways I can make my English better? I have difficulties with spelling or pronouncing the words. I heard that one good way is to read out loud. Is this also going to help with grammar too? Thank you.

    Re: English

In my opinion, reading out loud doesn't help much because the pronunciation will be unnatural and it's hard to absorb the text. The trick is to try to catch the music of the language, to try to hear things as native speakers actually say them and make the adjustments necessary- try practising in front of the bathroom mirror and seeing if you can get the sounds right.
