[General] Your voice breaks/breaking

Assume I am on a call with somone.

I am not able to hear the other persons voice (caller ) properly.

How to I say it to him.

1)Your voice is breaking/breaks.

Can someone suggest a better sentence.

You can say "Your voice is not audible" and "your voice is breaking" is also correct.

"Your voice is breaking" is probably not what you're looking for, unless you mean literally that the person's voice is the problem, irrespective of the phone and phone systems. You might try "Can you repeat that? You're breaking up."

We say someone's voice is breaking if they are a young man who is just reaching puberty. The point at which the pitch of his voice becomes noticeably lower, which can happen in rather unpredictable stages, is his voice "breaking". I wouldn't recommend using that phrase. I too prefer "You're breaking up" or "I'm sorry. The line isn't good. Could you speak up please?" or something similar.
