    On/in a photo shoot?

Which is the correct preposition to use?

Let's use him on the shoot or in the shoot!

My flatmate (who is a photographer) said he would use either/both.

"I like him. Let's use him in the shoot next week."
"She's great! Let's use her on the shoot on Saturday."

If he were talking about himself, he would say "You won't be able to reach me on Saturday. I'll be [out] on a shoot."
