    clear/clearly

I would like to know why in the following sentence clearly is used instead of clear, does it function as an intensifier adverb?

e.g. It's clearly a clip from the Vacation drama.

It's used because "It's clear a clip from the Vacation drama" would be incorrect.

    Re: clear/clearly

    Why would 'clear' be incorrect?

Because an adverb is required here.
