    Are sentence and prepositions correct?

Our parents have never explained to us why we were born as their children.

    1. Is the above sentence natural? What I am trying to mean is that parents do not explain to their children why they were born to them and not to other parents.

    2. Are the prepositions in the two sentences correct?

    Thanks.

    (Not a Teacher)

The sentence sounds good to me. I favor the simple past to the pluperfect, though.
However, the sentence is out of context, so I can't say for sure.

The prepositions are fine, but I don't understand what explanation you expect parents to have on this subject. The sentence seems to imply to me that we should have expected our parents to explain this.

    Thanks, SoothingDave.

It is related to a religious issue. It is one of the questions about our existence.

I hope the short explanation is okay to you.

    Sure, that makes more sense.
