Question will vs be going to

Hi I am Shiho who is working at technical company in Japan.
I have just started working here to transrater of documents and website.

Also i started to send my staffs e-magazine in English.

From the 1st feedback I got a question about the differences between "will" and "be going to".
I remember that both of them express "future" meaning but they are slightly different on meaning.

how do you discribe those differences to your students?

Hi and welcome to Using English.

I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

Re: will vs be going to

It can be explained in different aspects. However, briefly and generally, will: promise, or express something which is more likely to happen in future
    be going to: future intention
I think so. Hope that it can be of any help.

Welcome to the forum Shiho. Others have answered your question, I have made some amendments to your original post in red.
Take care with your spelling and use of articles. You will find this forum a great place to practice correct written English so that when you send out your e-magazine to your staff, they will also see English written with correct capitalisation, spelling, punctuation etc.
