***** NOT A TEACHER *****
Hello, Nomi:
I most respectfully suggest the following in order to be a better speller:
(a) Read, read, and read. The more you read, the more your eyes will become accustomed to the correct spelling of a word.
(i) For example, if I see "wierd," I know that it is wrong, for I have seen "weird" so many times in my 75 years of life.
(b) Make up your own personal rules.
(i) For example, many years ago, I told myself: it has 2 r's and 2 s's. So now I always spell "embarrass" correctly.
(c) Also, do some writing frequently. It will force you to consult a dictionary. As I said, the more often you see a word,
the more it will become fixed in your mind.
(d) Memorize certain words that are especially difficult for you.
(i) I do not know why, but the word "rhythm" has always confused me. So I have just decided to memorize it.
I am sure that little by little you will start to misspell words less frequently.
Good luck!
