    ***** NOT A TEACHER *****

    Hello, mamahu:

    (1) We were there. If you had looked, you would have seen us. ( perfect English)

    (2) We were there. If you would have looked, you would have seen us. ( Some -- many? -- native speakers here in the United

States say this. I think that it is STILL not considered "good" English by most people. I respectfully suggest that you say No. 1.)

    **********

P.S. Some of the teachers here get rather upset if we students use only our names in the title of the thread. If you can think of

a more accurate thread title, I think that you will get faster and more responses. For example, maybe you could have entitled this

thread something like "The third conditional."

    HAVE A NICE DAY!

In your profile, you say that you are a native English speaking English teacher. I am surprised at your need to ask that question and also your non-use of capitals.

    Re: mamahu

Mamahu was the username of the person who posted 5 times yesterday with the title "Dale" yet somehow now shows their total number of posts as 2. Given that the profile still says native language English and that they are an English teacher, I'm still smelling a troll.
