    Is it 'being' a gerund in the sentence?

    Hi teachers,
    Is it 'being' a gerund in the following sentence?
    Hesometimes liked being alone.

    Since 'being alone' appears to be the object, I'd say yes.

    Thank you for you reply. The same thing happends to this one, 'She liked being with Hiroshi'. 'being with Hiroshi' appears to be the object too. Right?
