    Question Mr.

Could any teacher explain me the meaing of "have a hankie handy"?
I couldn't find it in some dictionaries.

    Re: Mr.

    Hello DiLe

It means "have a handkerchief ready" the implication is that you will need one.

(Perhaps to dry away your tears, if you were watching an emotional film. Or simply to blow your nose if you were visiting a pepper factory, for instance.)
