    heard the wind sighing softly

When wind "sighs", does it mean very gentle and quiet wind?

ex)...I heard the crashing of waves against the cliffs. I heard the cries of sea brids. I heard the wind sighing softly through the trees...

When the wind sighs, it makes a long, soft sound as it moves through trees.
