    so that (will) be

    Dear teachers,

I have a question about the subjonctive tense (I think that a subjonctive is required like in my native language) and more particularly on the use of will after so that:

    "Some documents are missing!
    - Really? I will double check with Steeve so that the missing documents (will) be sent tomorrow morning".

Is the use of "will" possible, necessary or incorrect ?

Or maybe the subjonctive tense is not appropriate, I'm not sure: [... so that the missing documents are sent tomorrow morning...].

    Thank you!

    Guillaume

    It's subjunctive (note the spelling).

The use of "will" is appropriate in one construction but not in another. See the following:

Really? I will double-check with Steve and make sure that the missing documents are sent tomorrow morning.
Really? I will double-check with Steve. I can assure you that the missing documents will be sent tomorrow morning.

    But neither is the subjunctive.
I require the documents be sent at once! -- That's the subjunctive.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

I was concentrating so hard on the spelling of subjunctive etc that I completely failed to spot that!
