    What does this sentence mean?

    I've recently found this sentence somewhere:"XY has yet to be discovered".
    Is it similar to this? -> "XY hasn't been discovered yet".

    Your help would be highly appreciated :)

    Yes.

    A cure for the common cold has yet to be discovered.
