Example sentence: We actors are a very happy group.

    We actors: Subject/noun
    are: verb
    a: article

    Re: Parts of a sentence

"Very" and "happy" modify "group," not the subject of the sentence.

I believe "group" is a predicate adjective, but I could be wrong.

    Re: Parts of a sentence

In "We are a group of very happy actors", "very" and "happy" would modify "actors".

    Re: Parts of a sentence

I am not into labelling but, if we must label, then 'group' is not an adjective. it functions in this sentence, as a noun. If one has to label, it's probably a complement.
