    An e mail

Hi, I' d like to know if the following mail is ok. I'm writing to the mother of two friends of mine.

    Dear Mrs Summer,
I'm Rip, one of John and Clare's friends.
I'd really like to come to Los Angeles in September to improve my English.
John told me that I could stay at your place. I'd be glad to pay a rent and take care of my meals.
if it's not possible could you please help me find a cheap place where I can stay?

    Yours
    Rip

    (Not a Teacher)

I made a few minor changes to the last two sentences:

"I'd be glad to pay rent and provide my own meals."

"If that's not possible, could you please help me find a cheap place to stay?"
