    would be getting better results or would get better results

    Had you been more careful on the maths exam, she ______ much better results now.
    A. would be getting B. could have got C. must get D. would get
    The key to this ex is A; then I wonder what's the difference between A and D? Can't I useou D?
    Could you help explain it for me? Thank you

    I'm afraid it doesn't make much sense with any of the options.

    Are you sure the "you" (Had you been) was not "she"?
    Or perhaps the "she" was not "you"?

    It's hard to see the connection between YOUR being careful on the exam, and HER results.
    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

    Oh, I'm so sorry. I made a typing mistake here. "she" should be "you". Then is there a better choice for the blank?
