Hello,

Neither of them was here.
Neither of them were here.
Neither was here.
None of them is mine.
None of them are mine.

a) None (not a single one of us) is so fallible as those who are sure they are right.
b) None (not any of us) are so fallible as those who are sure they are right.

a) Is any of them the guilty one? (When only one of them is guilty).
b) Are any of them the guilty ones? (When more than one of them are guilty).

I always see these structures everywhere. All of them I have written are OK, is that right?

They are all commonly used.

I would always use the plural for "A pair of shirts" and "A couple of girls."
