    Is it correct?

Is it correct to ask this question:
Where were you at the time of the crime?

    Re: Is it correct?

As long as you're a police officer, yes! If you do something else for a living, you can ask the question, but expect "Mind your own business" in response.

    Re: Is it correct?

Thanks a lot. I am not a police officer but I have to change a story about a crime to a simple play for school students.
Can I write it here to be correct after I finish it?

    Re: Is it correct?

You are welcome to post it here, Editing & Writing Topics,
but I must warn you that it may not be corrected. Many of the people who respond in these forums do not have the time to proof-read longer work. However, post it - you have nothing to lose, and you may be lucky.
