Hi. I' d like to know if it's ok to say:

"Mrs. X, could you please move over?"

The context is the following: students in a class. the teacher has just written on the blackboard, but during the explanation she/he remains in front of the blackboard and one student can't see what she/he has written. How can he/she asks the teacher to step aside?
Thanks
Rip

***** NOT A TEACHER *****

Tom: Excuse me, Mrs. Parser, but I cannot see the chalk-, black-, whiteboard.

Mrs. Parser: Oh, I'm so sorry, Tom. I didn't realize that I was blocking your view.

Tom: Thank you, ma'am.
