What do you call a talk (by the performer) between songs in a concert?
For example, when a British singer had a show in Japan, he said 'thank you for coming' and he talked about cherry blossomes he saw here.
Is it called an 'MC'? We call it MC in Japanese language, but it doesn't seem to be a correct expression when used in English language.
I know MC is a short for Master of Ceremonies and the meaning from dictionaries:
1. Someone who introduces guests or performers at a social or public occasion
2. the person in a rap group who holds the microphone and says the words to the songs
So, if you don't call it MC, what do you call it?
I'd appreciate it if you could show me examples of how to it as a noun and a verb.
Thank you.
