    do or have

    I overheard some tourists saying this:
    "I don't want to do this either but it's not like we have any other choice, do/have we"

    I'm not too sure about the last part. I think it's have we since the word "have" is used here but it sounds rather weird. Which one is it?

    PS: if I replace the tag question with "is it?", will the meaning of the sentence change in any way? If so then how?

    Of the two possibilities you give in the first part of your post, I would use do we. However, I would probably use is it because it goes with it's not like.

    So both of them are equally correct? What if this is a question in a test and I have to pick between those two? Which one would be the safest bet?

    It wouldn't be a very good test question, but if I had to answer just one, I'd go for is it.
