- What should I do at the time of the hurricane?
It's just an example and I don't mean any exact hurricane, but hurricane in general.

I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
"What should I do in hurricane season?" is another possibility if you're not talking about the specific time that a hurricane hits somewhere, but the time of year when they are prevalent. In that example, no article is required.
