    What is "tear free lotion"?

    Hello, everyone.

I have tried to find out the meaning of "tear free". I have found any answer so far.

Could you please share with me the meaning of this phrase?

    Many thanks

    Richard

It means that if it gets into your eyes, it should not irritate them.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

    ***** NOT A TEACHER *****

Maybe "tear-free lotion" refers to a lotion that will not cause you to cry. ("tear" = the water in your eyes) (NOT: the verb "to tear,"

as in "I am going to tear up this letter."
