    A or B

" Everybody loves a fat pay rise. Such behabiour is regarded as 'all too human'. But s study by Dr Brown suggests that it is all too monkey, as well."

My qustion is "In the first paragrph, the author introduces his topic by
    A. posing a contrast.
    B. making a comparision."
Please give your choice and why.

    Thanks a lot!

    Re: A or B

The conjunction but surely does not express comparison. It's rather used to express contrast.
The writer is suggesting a contrast that it is unexpected on the light of the first clause.

Please note this extract from the forum guidelines:

Thread titles should include all or part of the word/phrase being discussed.

A better title for your thread would have been 'Contrast or Comparison'?
