    what is the grammatical term for the word "corresponding" in the followin gsentence?

    Corresponding genes from the male and the female known as alleles pair with one another.


    Please provide the accurate term for "corresponding", is it called adjectival noun or??

    It's not a noun at all. It's an adjective or, if you prefer, a present participle functioning as an adjective.
