    blew him away?

    Hi, does this sentence make sense: "The bomb blew him 10 feet away because of the impact"

    Is blew away correct?

    I don't think "away" is really necessary unless you add something like "...away from the car".

    "The force of the explosion blew him ten feet" is more natural.
