1. ## height and size

Are both of the sentences correct?

A)
1) I'm 162 centimeters.
2) I'm 162 centimeters tall.

B)
1) It's 82 square meters.
2) It's 82 square meters big.

2. ## Re: height and size

A is right.

B isn't. If you feel you need to say more, you could say 'It's 82 square metres in size/extent/...', or if it's a square you could say 'It's just over 9 metre*s square'.

b

*Your spelling isn't wrong. I just use the Br Eng spelling by default!

3. ## Re: height and size

So "it's 82 square meters." is correct?

b

I'd say, "I'm one metre sixty-two (tall)".

I ddn't want to open that can of worms. I'd have said [inaccurately, as I'm nearly a foot taller] 5'7""

It's 82 square meters in area, to be exact. But the unit "square meters" tells you it is the measurement of an area, so it's normal to just say "It's 82 square meters."
