What verb or phrasal verb do we use for the following situation?
I was standing in the line and waiting my turn but a big guy ........ so we had an argument and I didn't let him take my place.

It entirely depends on what the big guy did! He might have tried to push in. He might have tried to queue jump. He might have tried to cut in line. He might have stepped on my foot. He might have dropped a heavy weight on my head.

There is no obvious answer.

Well it's definitely not dropping a weight on your head. :-?

In AmE, it's "to cut in line", or simply "to cut".
