    past or past perfect?

    Teacher, are these sentences OK?

1)I have just called Mary to see if she is available on June 1 and she has informed me that she has already has plans.

    2) I just called Mary to see if she is available on June 1 and she informed me that she has already has plans.

Neither of them is correct - I have underlined the problem part. As far as "she has informed" vs "she informed" is concerned, the simple past is sufficient here (and "I just called" goes with that).
