    repeat my thanks

    My student wrote:
I repeat my thanks again for your lovely flowers.
I don't think "repeat my thanks" is a set phrase and is acceptable to native speakers.
    I changed it to:
Thanks again for your lovely flowers.
What do you think of the original sentence and revised one? Do you have any other advice?

    Re: repeat my thanks

I think you made a good change there. Hearing 'repeat my thanks' from a non-native English speaker would make me think they were translating directly from their own language where it's used this way. "Thanks again for..." and "again, thank you for..." are the normal ways in AmE.

    Re: repeat my thanks

In a very formal context, we might say "I would like to repeat my thanks for ..." or "I would like to reiterate my appreciation to you..." but I agree with your correction for the original.
