    call (it) quits

    Hi

It was a time to call quits our relationship.

Can I use "call quits" in this context, can I leave out "it"?

    No
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

No. The phrase is "to call it quits". You can use it on its own - "It's time to call it quits" or add what it is you are giving up on - "It's time to call it quits on our relationship".
