Around 20 per cent of our servicemen are found to have some form of asthma, of which the majority are mild.

Would it be better to write 'the majority of which'?

I don't like either. The following are clumsy, but clearer.

Around 20 per cent of our servicemen are found to have some form of asthma, of which the majority of cases are mild.
Around 20 per cent of our servicemen are found to have some form of asthma, the majority of cases of which are mild
.

I'd probably say:

Around 20 per cent of our servicemen are found to have some form of asthma, mostly mild.

This is the most natural for me.
