    Red face tense

    Hello

Which sentence sounds the most natural, or wrong? and is there any difference?

    (a) I can't tell if it's raining tomorrow.
    (b) I can't tell if it will rain tomorrow.
    (c) I can't tell if it will be raining tomorrow.

    Re: tense

Only (b) sounds natural. (a) is wrong. You can't mix present progressive (it's raining) with the future (tomorrow).
    (c) sounds like a non-native trying to say (b)

That is true with this particular verb, but the present progressive is often used to refer to the future. It is appropriate only when some sort of arrangement is involved, as in: I'm meeting Mary in town tomorow.

There can clearly be no arrangement for future rain. That is why it's raining tomorrow is not possible.
