Maybe it just can't be do

Ted:I'm usually so good at being a boyfriend, but this
never-seeing-each-other thing, it's a bitch. Maybe it just can't be do. I think
it's clear what I have to do.

Do in this sentence is an adjective? what does this mean??

It doesn't make any sense with "do" there. Was this heard dialogue or written somewhere? If you heard it, could it have been "Maybe it just can't be done", or "Maybe it just won't do"?
