    if it feels right

A sentence from a book about magic: No matter how long you've had a tattoo, if it feels right, you can put it to work as your personal talisman.

--- What does it mean "if it feels right"? Maybe "if you think it's suitable (for this purpose)"?

    Re: if it feels right

If it feels right, meaning here that you do not consider yourself an idiot for getting the tattoo, that you are still pleased with your tattoo.
