To explain the meaning of this sentence, 'Your watch is ten minutes slow', are both options correct?
a) Your watch is earlier than the actual time.
b) Your watch is behind in time / behind the actual time.

To explain the meaning of this sentence, 'Your watch is ten minutes fast', are both options correct?
a) Your watch is later than the actual time.
b) Your watch is ahead in time / ahead the actual time.

If your watch is "fast" then it will be ahead of the actual time. Reading 5:05 when it is 5:00.

If your watch is slow, then it will be behind the actual time. Reading 4:55 when it is 5:00
