    With/on an empty stomach.

    Hello!

    Today I read one sentence:
Don't go to the exam with an empty stomach: fresh fruits and vegetables are often recommended to reduce stress.

But according to the dictionary (on an empty stomach - Idioms - by the Free Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.), it's right to use "on" .
Dear teachers, what do you think about it?

    Thank you!

    Re: With/on an empty stomach.

'On' is correct; 'with' is unnatural.

    'On' is better.

A semicolon should replace the colon.

Have fresh fruits and vegetables ever reduced anybody's stress?
