    decide

I thought it was 'It's you that decide...' but Google suggested to me that it might be 'It's you that decides...' and I found that there were many examples of such.

Why? Or did Google bring me wrong examples?

    Re: decide

COca has 16 citations for 'It is you who + base form' and 33 for 'It is you who + 3rd person singular form'; so, the latter is more common, but the former appears to be acceptable.

    Re: decide

It's one of those rare occasion when I am not sure. I have read so many discussions on this that I no longer know what comes naturally - well, actually, neither comes naturally any more. In writing, I try to avoid such constructions.

In speaking, I think I go for "It's you who/that decides" on the grounds that the grammatical subject of the verb is 'who'.

    Re: decide

Even if the verb 'decide' had the object as, say, '...decide(s) what to do', would you still go for 'decides'?
