    break through

    — It’s really impressive that you’ve finished the task in time.
    — Well, we’ve had our challenges, but we always break through them.

    Is the verbal phrase "break through" used correctly in this context?

    I wouldn't use it- I'd use something like overcome there.

    That sounds unnatural to me as well. If you want to use "get through" or "break through", I would use "obstacles" instead of "challenges".
