    (which/what)? color do you like?

    I am looking for clarification on when to use which vs. what. Here are some close examples:

    1)
    What color do you like?
    Which color do you like?

    2)
    Of all these colors, which one do you want?
    Of all these colors, what color do you want?

    That's exactly the differnce.In the second pair, the first sentence sounds more natural, since "which" is the common word when you're talking about a limited number of things. The first pair are both correct depending on the situation.\.
