One could worship trees, but they would be a "tree worshiper," not a "trees worshiper."

    Welcome to the forum arianaa.

Both 'worship(p)ing trees' and 'worship(p)ing of trees ' are possible. In future posts, please try to place expressions you are asking about in context. We can then tell you if you have used them appropriately.

'worshipping' and 'worshipper' are often spelt with a double p in BrE.

That's how I would have spelled it, but my browser underlined it, so i changed it.

Re: worshiping trees or trees worshiping

    Thank both of you!

I will check it in context.
In ancient times some nations worshipped trees. I would like to say it other way. Can I say like this?

Worshipping trees was (or is) an ancient ritual.
Worshipping trees had (or have) an ancient origin.
I mean if it is not exist now I must speak about it in past tense.

Tree worship still exists in many parts of the world, so the present tense is appropriate. "Tree worship has its origins in ancient civilisations" is a good way to put it.
