    Infectious

    His enthusiasm is infectious.
What is the meaning of this?

For me, infection has to do with illness. People get infectious diseases, for example.

    Re: Infectious

    NOT A TEACHER

It is a figure of speech. I means that his enthusiasm spreads to others as if it were an illness. Consequently, everybody who is close to him (say in the same room) gets enthusiastic too.
Please note that I'm not a teacher.
